Our History

Mentor Me North Georgia, Inc. was established as a nonprofit organization by the Leadership Forsyth class of 2002. Originally a branch of Big Brothers Big Sisters Northwest Georgia Mountains, the Forsyth County organization grew and gained experience as an extension of the Big Brothers Big Sisters agency until 2008.

In 2008 our founders decided to become an independent agency to better serve the diverse needs of youth in the community, particularly children ages 13-17 which we were unable to do as a BBBS affiliate. The new organization incorporated as a 501(c)3 called Mentor Me North Georgia, Inc.

A member of the National Mentoring Alliance, Mentor Me North Georgia serves youth, ages 6 to 17, through programs such as One-on-One mentoring, after school enrichment, and group mentoring programs. Since our inception, we have served over 5,000 children and youth.

In 2022, Mentor Me North Georgia celebrated 20 years of service to the Forsyth County community.
